About the Opportunities

Support Officers are essential to the delivery of high quality student services across TAFE SA. Working within a variety of teams, you will provide administrative, operational and customer service support that helps students, apprentices, trainees, employers and community members navigate their educational journey. 



These opportunities suit individuals who enjoy working in fast paced environments, can manage competing priorities, and are comfortable using multiple systems while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and customer service.

Opportunities may be available within:

Student Engagement and Customer Service 

Provide frontline support through TAFE SA's Student Hub and Customer Support Contact Centre, assisting students and customers with enquiries, campus services and administrative support while creating a welcoming and positive experience. 

Admissions, Onboarding and Enrolments 

Support students from application through to commencement by assisting with admissions, enrolments, course registrations, onboarding activities and student administration processes. 

Apprentices, Trainees and Schools 

Assist apprentices, trainees, employers and school-based learners throughout their educational journey by coordinating enquiries, administration and support services. 

Student Administration and Business Support 

Provide critical administrative support that ensures accurate record keeping, compliance, reporting and operational effectiveness across TAFE SA. 

Typical responsibilities include:

Depending on the team and location, responsibilities may include: 

  • Providing professional customer service via phone, email, live chat and face-to-face interactions 
  • Assisting students, apprentices, trainees and employers with enquiries and administrative processes 
  • Processing applications, enrolments, registrations and student records 
  • Maintaining accurate information across multiple systems and databases 
  • Preparing correspondence, reports and documentation 
  • Supporting onboarding, admissions and student lifecycle activities 
  • Coordinating appointments, bookings and administrative workflows 
  • Managing shared campus resources and front-of-house services 
  • Contributing to process improvements and service innovation initiatives 
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across campuses and teams to deliver positive outcomes for students and stakeholders

    These positions are classified at the ASO2 level, with a salary range of $58,709 - $63,154 per annum (pro-rata for part-time positions), plus superannuation.

  • Do I need a Working With Children Check?

    Successful applicants will be required to hold or obtain a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to commencement.
