Role Overview
This is a hands on role where you will take ownership of WHS across a dynamic manufacturing site. You will be on the ground, partnering with leaders and teams to embed a strong safety culture, lead audits and investigations, and drive continuous improvement across systems and processes. From training and contractor management through to inspections and emergency readiness, you will play a key role in ensuring safety is integrated into everything the business does.

About the Person
You are a confident, site-based WHS professional from a food manufacturing or FMCG environment. You’re comfortable working autonomously, influencing leaders and calling things out when they’re not right, while still building strong relationships across the business. You bring a practical, solutions focused approach and are confident making decisions and providing guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with leaders to drive safety accountability and mindset shift
  • Lead incident management, investigations and corrective actions
  • Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments across site
  • Maintain and improve WHS systems, processes and reporting
  • Deliver training, inductions and toolbox talks
  • Support contractor management and emergency preparedness
  • Contribute to system improvements, including Rapid Global
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Qualification in Work Health & Safety or similar
  • Experience in WHS within food manufacturing or FMCG (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive change
  • Experience across audits, incidents and safety systems
