We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to design and shape technology solutions that align with business objectives and broader technology strategy. This role will provide technical expertise across solution design, architecture, delivery and stakeholder engagement.

Role Overview
The Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing robust, scalable and secure technology solutions across a broad range of platforms and technologies. The role will assess solution options, develop architecture and design standards, support delivery teams and ensure solutions integrate effectively with the broader technology environment.
You will work closely with both business and technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into practical recommendations and ensuring technology solutions remain aligned with strategic objectives.
About the Person
We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect with a strong ability to understand business requirements and translate them into practical, scalable and secure technology solutions.
The successful candidate will have broad architectural experience across application, integration, data, cloud, network and security domains, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. You will be confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels and facilitating discussions around technical options, risks and trade-offs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and specify technology solutions that are fit for purpose, scalable and aligned with business and technology requirements.
- Assess technology and solution options and provide clear recommendations based on cost, risk, benefits and long-term suitability.
- Develop solution architectures, patterns, standards and non-functional requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight throughout the solution delivery lifecycle.
- Ensure solutions integrate effectively with the broader technology environment.
- Analyse current and target state architectures and identify opportunities to address gaps.
- Review and evaluate proposed solutions, providing technical advice and recommendations.
- Ensure solution designs incorporate appropriate information security and risk controls.
- Identify and escalate technology and delivery risks.
- Contribute to architecture standards, policies, patterns and supporting documentation.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions with business and technology stakeholders.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly recommendations.
- Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and industry practices and assess their potential value and risk.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Proven ability to design practical solution architectures aligned with business and technology needs.
- Strong experience across application, integration, data, cloud, network and security architecture.
- Experience assessing solution options, defining architecture standards and addressing non-functional requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through complex and ambiguous technical challenges.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
- Sound knowledge of architecture principles, standards and practices.
- Working knowledge of information security principles as they apply to solution design.
- Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, project/program teams, analysts and technology teams.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline are highly desirable.
- TOGAF certification is highly desirable.
- AWS Solutions Architect and/or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect certification is desirable.
