This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Officer to join a major infrastructure program and contribute to a complex, high-profile project with long-term community impact.
Working within a governance and assurance function, you’ll coordinate project planning, administration, reporting and project controls while supporting senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary project teams. You’ll have the opportunity to work across a broad range of activities, from preparing high-level briefings and reports to analysing complex information, supporting governance forums and strengthening project processes.

About the Person
You’re an experienced project professional who is highly organised, analytical and confident working in complex environments with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
You’ll be comfortable preparing high-quality reports, briefings and presentations, interpreting complex information and providing clear advice to senior stakeholders. You’ll also bring strong project governance experience and the ability to build productive relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
You’re someone who can work independently, exercise sound judgement and remain calm when priorities change. You enjoy improving processes, solving problems and helping teams deliver successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate complex project planning, administration and project control activities
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, presentations, submissions and project documentation
- Provide executive support to project governance committees
- Coordinate agendas, minutes, action lists and decision registers
- Monitor project actions, deliverables and reporting requirements
- Research, analyse and interpret complex quantitative and qualitative information
- Develop and deliver regular and ad hoc project reporting
- Support scope change control, lessons learnt and benefits management
- Develop and review project governance frameworks, systems and processes
- Coordinate responses to information, audit and reporting requests
- Build strong relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders
- Facilitate workshops, training and information sharing
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement
- Significant experience in project coordination, project administration or project governance
- Strong experience preparing strategic reports, briefings, presentations and advice
- Experience supporting governance committees and complex project teams
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and data
- Knowledge of contemporary project management methodologies, tools and practices
- Experience with project controls, governance, risk and issue management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience working within a complex organisation or government environment will be highly regarded
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or a related discipline will be advantageous
