Role Overview
The Senior Manager of Architecture provides visionary leadership and drives the strategic direction of our technology architecture. This role leads a high-performing team of architects and works closely with senior business and technology stakeholders to align architectural decisions with strategic goals. They are responsible for evolving enterprise architecture frameworks, guiding solution design, and embedding modern architecture and engineering practices across the organisation to enable innovation and scalability.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Leadership experience in enterprise and solution architecture aligned with business strategy.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery models, with demonstrated ability to operate within cross-functional squads and iterative planning cycles.
- Proven ability to define and govern architecture roadmaps and large-scale programs.
- Expertise in modern architectural practices (e.g. microservices, cloud-native, APIs, DevSecOps).
- Strong stakeholder engagement and translation of strategy into technical outcomes.
- Experience with cloud architecture in hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
- Proficient in architectural frameworks and tools (e.g. TOGAF, ArchiMate, LeanIX).
- Skilled in leading architecture governance (e.g. Architecture Review Board).
- Ability to maintain architecture standards, documentation, and tooling.
- Awareness of emerging technologies and continuous improvement practices.
