Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership across electrical, instrumentation and controls engineering. The role plays a key part in delivering safe, high-quality engineering outcomes through investigation, design, technical assurance and standards development.

Role Overview
Reporting to the Lead, Engineering Studies within the Sustainable Infrastructure group, this role acts as a subject matter expert for electrical, instrumentation and controls matters. You will support engineering teams and stakeholders across the full asset lifecycle, ensuring best-practice design, safety in design and compliance with technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a technical authority for electrical, instrumentation and controls engineering.
- Deliver investigations, concept and detailed design, and technical audits within time and budget.
- Lead and embed Safety in Design practices across EIC disciplines.
- Provide technical advice to internal teams, consultants and contractors.
- Support development, review and compliance of technical standards and guidelines.
- Contribute to operational, maintenance and monitoring strategies.
- Identify and assess innovative technologies and industry best practice.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Instrumentation and/or Controls Engineering.
- CPEng accreditation or eligibility by 30 June 2026.
- Proven experience operating as a Subject Matter Expert.
- Strong background delivering complex EIC engineering investigations and designs.
- Experience contributing to technical standards and governance.
- Water, utilities or large infrastructure experience.
- Exposure to installation and commissioning of EIC infrastructure.
