Harrison McMillan has partnered with a well-established commercial electrical company looking for a friendly, reliable and proactive Reception / Payroll Administrator to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave starting in July.

The Role
This is a part-time role (5 days per week) with flexibility around school hours (approx. 5-6 hours per day), making it ideal for someone looking to balance work and lifestyle.
Your responsibilities will include:

Answering and directing incoming phone calls

General reception and administrative duties

Processing payroll (full training provided)

Supporting the wider team with day-to-day admin

Assisting with additional tasks during busier periods
There may be opportunities for additional hours during peak times for those who are available and keen to contribute.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:

Has experience in administration, reception, or payroll

Ideally comes from a construction, industrial, or trades-based environment

Is confident using Microsoft Outlook and Excel

Has strong communication and organisational skills

Shows initiative and is willing to learn and take on more

Enjoys working as part of a team and contributing to a positive workplace culture
