The City of Tea Tree Gully is seeking an organised and customer-focused People Support Officer
to provide recruitment, employee lifecycle and systems support across the organisation.
Reporting to a People Advisor, you will support an allocated portfolio and act as a key contact for hiring managers and candidates. You will coordinate recruitment administration, pre-employment requirements, onboarding, offboarding and employee movements, while maintaining accurate records and data integrity, across Council’s People systems.
Work collaboratively across the People, Culture and Wellbeing team being a significant contributor to achieve innovative solutions and adapting to the growth and organisational needs of our Council.
This is a highly transactional role offering broad exposure to People and Culture processes and a strong foundation for future progression into advisory opportunities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating recruitment administration, advertisements and candidate communication.
- Supporting pre-employment checks, medical assessments and onboarding activities.
- Manage contracts of employment, appointments, variations, higher duties, secondments and separations.
- Maintaining accurate employee records, documentation and system information.
- Acting as a responsive point of contact for hiring managers and candidates.
- Supporting employee reimbursements, invoices and standard reporting.
- Maintaining templates, forms and People and Culture process documentation.
- Working collaboratively with the wider team to improve service delivery.
About you:
You are an organised and dependable administrator who takes pride in delivering accurate work and responsive customer service.
You enjoy coordinating multiple processes, working with systems and supporting people through important stages of the employee lifecycle. You are comfortable following established procedures, handling confidential information and escalating non-routine matters when required.

You will also have:
- Experience in an administration, coordination or support role.
- Exposure to Human Resources, recruitment or corporate services activities.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience maintaining records, databases and transactional documentation.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Confidence using corporate systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to manage confidential information professionally.
- A flexible approach and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
- A Certificate in Human Resources or equivalent experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check.
- Level 3 remuneration of $87,101.55 to $93,466.35 plus superannuation.
