Adelaide CBD Location - $95,000 - $125,000 + Super

Harrison McMillan is partnering with a respected national professional services organisation to recruit a People & Development Adviser for its Adelaide office.

Supporting a large national and local workforce, this role presents as an opportunity to join a collaborative and highly regarded People & Development team in a broad generalist capacity. Working closely with leaders, Partners and employees across the business, you will play a key role in delivering people solutions, building trusted stakeholder relationships and contributing to a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

This position is ideally suited to an experienced HR Adviser or HR Business Partner who enjoys variety, values stakeholder engagement and is looking to further develop their career within a professional services environment.

About the Position
Reporting into an experienced national People leader, you will be responsible for providing practical and commercially focused HR support across a diverse range of people activities.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day HR advice and support to leaders and employees
  • Managing employee relations matters, performance discussions and workplace issues
  • Partnering with leaders on people matters and workforce planning initiatives
  • Managing end-to-end recruitment and selection activities across a variety of business areas
  • Preparing recruitment approvals and supporting hiring decisions
  • Coordinating annual graduate, clerkship and early careers recruitment programs
  • Supporting onboarding, engagement and retention initiatives
  • Contributing to remuneration review processes and broader people programs
  • Assisting with policy development, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Working collaboratively with the national People & Development team on projects and business priorities

This role offers exposure across the full employee lifecycle, making it an excellent opportunity for someone seeking breadth within a genuine generalist HR position.

About You
We are interested in speaking with HR professionals who can demonstrate:

  • Previous experience as a HR Adviser, People & Culture Adviser or HR Business Partner
  • Experience providing practical HR advice within a corporate or professional services environment
  • Exposure to recruitment, employee relations and performance management activities
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Confidence working with leaders and influencing outcomes
  • A commercial, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach to people matters
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Experience gained within legal, professional services, consulting, accounting or other white-collar corporate environments will be highly regarded.
