As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for processing pay files, coding timesheets, managing leave applications, and resolving complex payroll queries. Reporting to one of the Operational Team Leaders, you will be part of a collaborative unit with daily processing targets.
About the Person
You’re a reliable, motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy. You excel in process driven environments, communicate clearly, and are comfortable using Microsoft Office and payroll systems like Chris21. Strong customer service skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Process pay files and facilitate pay-related functions
- Code timesheets, enter master data, and process leave applications
- Respond to and resolve pay-related queries via phone and email
- Contribute to daily team targets and shared goals
- Deliver professional and timely customer service
- Current National Police Clearance (mandatory)
- Experience using CHRIS21 (highly regarded)
- Strong customer service background, preferably in a call centre
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Fast and accurate data entry (minimum 40 wpm)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and proven reliability
