Lead Recruitment and Human Resources Advisor
A senior HR generalist role combining end-to-end recruitment leadership with trusted HR advisory services.

Role Overview
This role leads recruitment activities while providing high-quality HR advice across the employment lifecycle. You’ll oversee recruitment campaigns, build talent pipelines, advise leaders on people matters, and contribute to workforce planning and HR improvement initiatives.
It’s a role for someone who enjoys being the go-to expert - commercially minded, detail-focused, and comfortable working at pace.

About the Person
You’re an experienced HR professional who knows how to balance policy with pragmatism. You’re confident advising managers, comfortable interpreting industrial instruments, and capable of leading recruitment activity end to end without dropping the ball.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate recruitment and selection activities, including workforce renewal and diversity initiatives
  • Develop innovative recruitment and attraction strategies and represent the organisation at career events
  • Provide accurate HR advice on industrial instruments, policies and people management practices
  • Support job design, evaluation, performance management and development processes
  • Prepare HR reports, briefings and recommendations for senior leaders
  • Oversee HR operational processes across the employment lifecycle
  • Liaise with shared services providers and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to workforce planning, HR reporting and continuous improvement projects

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment and selection leadership
  • Strong HR advisory experience across a broad range of people matters
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments
  • High-level written, verbal and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Knowledge of public-sector HR frameworks (highly regarded)
  • Tertiary qualification in HR or related discipline (desirable)
