4 – 6 month fixed term contract - Human Resources Manager – ANZ region  Location:  Truganina or Mulgrave, Melbourne 
Employment Type:  Short-term contract with immediate start for handover with current incumbent.

The Opportunity 

We’re looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager for the ANZ to lead and deliver comprehensive HR services across our region. This is a pivotal, hands-on role that blends strategic leadership with operational excellence. You’ll guide a small, dedicated team to manage all aspects of HR, including industrial relations, performance management, payroll oversight, and talent development. Along the way, you’ll coach leaders, champion engagement initiatives, and foster a positive workplace culture. 

Success in this role requires a strong business partnership mindset. HR is highly valued within our organization, with established credibility and close relationships across the business. Your ability to combine commercial acumen with a deep understanding of what drives operational success will be critical—and highly rewarding. 

This role reports directly to the EVP – ANZ and is part of the ANZ Management Team, contributing to strategic planning and business success. 

Key Responsibilities 
  • Lead HR operations across ANZ and manage a small HR team (including Senior Payroll & HR Officer). 
  • Provide expert advice on performance management, IR/ER matters, and workplace investigations. 
  • Negotiate Enterprise Bargaining Agreements and manage union relationships. 
  • Oversee payroll processes for multiple entities and annual compliance activities. 
  • Drive talent acquisition, succession planning, and learning & development initiatives. 
  • Champion employee engagement and recognition programs. 
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to deliver strategic HR interventions. 
About You 
  • 10+ years’ HR experience with postgraduate qualifications. 
  • Proven expertise in industrial relations, EBA negotiations, and union engagement. 
  • Strong HR generalist background, with all facets of HR plus with strategic planning capability, demonstrating strong trusted partnering relationships 
  • Experience managing payroll and HR systems. 
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. 
  • Ability to seamlessly and intelligently move between strategic HR, and operational HR 
  • Related Industries include Supply Chain, Packaging, Transport, Retail, Manufacturing however open to transferable skills from other industries
