We’re looking for a Head of SEO / AEO to lead and scale our organic performance function across a growing portfolio of clients.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has done the work, can explain the results they’ve created, and now wants to build systems, lead people, and own outcomes. You won’t be dropped in cold, our current Head of SEO will work closely with you for several months to ensure a smooth transition and real continuity.
Marketing is split into specialised teams, and you’ll sit at the centre of that ecosystem, shaping strategy while trusting your team to support on repeatable work.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take full ownership of organic performance across multiple client accounts, managing SEO/AEO/GEO delivery end to end with a clear focus on measurable commercial outcomes including traffic growth, lead generation and revenue impact. This role is hands ? on and holistic, requiring confidence in articulating the baseline, identifying opportunities, implementing changes, and clearly explaining what moved the needle and why. You’ll be accountable for performance from strategy through to execution, ensuring quality, consistency, and results across every stage of the funnel.
You will play a critical role in executing and evolving the business model and will personally handle on ? page optimisation, technical SEO, content creation, link building, and day ? to ? day client account management, using AI tools and modern technology to drive efficiency and scale. You’ll be the primary point of contact for clients, translating technical work into clear insights and recommendations, while continuously refining processes to support a high ? performance, in ? house function.
Client engagement is central to the role. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, translating technical detail into clear commercial insight, and managing expectations with confidence. You’ll also contribute to the ongoing evolution of SEO as a service, supporting growth opportunities, shaping how value is delivered, and influencing longer term organic strategy without losing touch with execution.
You’ll also play a role in the commercial growth of SEO, identifying opportunities, supporting upsells, and helping shape how SEO delivers value as a service.
What we’re looking for
A senior SEO leader with hands?on experience and a clear track record of scaling organic growth. You have worked across multiple client accounts, built or improved SEO systems, and led people, formally or informally.
You’re comfortable with:
- Building and improving SEO processes and SOPs
- End to end SEO delivery across technical, on page, content and links
- Scaling SEO/AEO results, not just maintaining them
- Content strategy and authority building
- AEO/GEO and the rapidly changing search landscape
- Presenting performance to senior stakeholders and leadership teams
- Balancing strategy with execution when needed
