Role Overview
Reporting within the Finance team, you will partner with managers and senior leaders to provide proactive financial advice, analysis and reporting across your allocated business portfolios. You will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting and financial performance analysis, helping stakeholders make informed decisions while supporting sound financial management and continuous improvement.
This is a collaborative business partnering role where you will build trusted relationships across the organisation, simplify financial information and contribute to improving financial capability and accountability.
About the Person
You are an experienced Finance Business Partner or Management Accountant who enjoys working closely with operational stakeholders. You have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. You are proactive, commercially focused and able to translate complex financial information into practical business insights that support operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with managers and senior leaders to provide trusted financial advice and support.
- Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting processes.
- Prepare accurate financial reports, variance analysis and performance commentary.
- Analyse financial results and provide practical recommendations to support decision making.
- Prepare reconciliations, financial analysis and business case information.
- Support managers to improve financial literacy, budget ownership and accountability.
- Contribute to process improvements, reporting enhancements and finance system efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial controls and organisational policies.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and contribute to a collaborative, customer-focused finance team.
- Demonstrated experience in a Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant or similar finance role.
- Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and variance analysis.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving and business partnering skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Knowledge of accounting standards, financial controls and management accounting principles.
- Experience preparing business cases, reconciliations and financial commentary.
- A continuous improvement mindset with experience enhancing financial processes and reporting.
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- CPA or CA qualification (essential).
- Current driver's licence.
