Role Overview
The Contract Administrator is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of projects by managing subcontractor packages, financial processes, and project documentation. This includes preparing and submitting claims, forecasts, and reports, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, and assisting in the timely completion and close-out of projects.
About the Person
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organised, and enjoy managing contracts and project documentation. A tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Economics, or a related field is essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Procore. Strong communication skills, a solutions-focused approach, and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines will ensure success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts, ensuring accurate scoping and compliance.
- Submit monthly progress claims and forecasting reports on time.
- Oversee subcontractor contract management, including payments, RFIs, and documentation.
- Assist with project completion requirements, including handover manuals, defect rectification, and financial close-out.
- Support the Project Manager and project team with reporting, meetings, and stakeholder communication.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Demonstrated experience as a contract administrator - minimum 5 years
- Sound verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Organisation and time management skills
