Contract Administrator

Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth’s Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible designing, constructing and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities.
ANI is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to join its Commercial team. Based in the Adelaide CBD with some travel to Osborne, this role is suited to someone with strong contract administration experience and a collaborative approach to supporting project delivery. You’ll play a key role in ensuring contractual compliance, administration of variations and claims, cost tracking, and risk management across high-profile, capital-intensive projects.
Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting project teams in contract administration and commercial management.
  • Assisting Project Directors with budget oversight, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with contract requirements and obligations.
  • Managing contractual correspondence, payment claims, and variations.
  • Administering program reviews and claims for extensions of time.
  • Advising on commercial risks and recommending appropriate action.
  • Contributing to legal and regulatory compliance across all contracts.
About you:
You are an organised, solutions focused professional with excellent communication skills and experience administering contracts in infrastructure or government environments. You enjoy working in multi disciplinary teams and take pride in delivering efficient and compliant project outcomes.
You will also have:
  • A relevant qualification and/or 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong administrative and contract management capabilities.
  • High-level interpersonal and stakeholder liaison skills.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project-related systems.
  • A flexible, team-oriented mindset with high attention to detail.
  • A current driver’s licence and willingness to work across multiple ANI sites.
Eligibility:
