The Category Specialist will be responsible for managing procurement activity across high-value and complex sub-categories of spend. This role involves delivering detailed category management plans, conducting sourcing activities, managing supplier performance, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing expert guidance on procurement, contracting, and supply chain matters while ensuring optimal business outcomes. About the Person:

Develop and deliver category management and action plans for high-value/complex categories

Conduct sourcing processes, prepare procurement documentation, and manage contract execution

Lead supplier relationship management to ensure performance, risk management, and value delivery

Provide market intelligence, spend analysis, and benchmarking to inform decision-making

Advise stakeholders on procurement policies, supply chain strategies, and contract management matters

Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities for innovation in procurement and supply chain practices

Ensure full compliance with procurement frameworks, policies, and procedures

Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Law, Commercial, or related field (MCIPS desirable)

Proven procurement and contracting experience, including negotiation and supplier management
