Role Overview
Reporting to the Manager Information Services & Technology , the role of Business Analyst – Business Applications, will play a key role in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise business systems across the organisation. You will partner with stakeholders to analyse business processes, identify optimisation opportunities, and ensure applications are functioning effectively, securely, and in alignment with strategic goals.
This role offers a blend of application support, business improvement, project involvement, stakeholder engagement and system administration across both on-premises and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and map complex business processes to define opportunities for system, data, and workflow optimisation.
- Produce functional and technical specifications that translate business needs into actionable requirements for data/ERP migration.
- Drive change management activities to ensure effective adoption of new systems, processes, and technologies across the organisation.
- Deliver expert technical and end-user support for enterprise applications, ensuring rapid incident resolution and sustained system performance.
- Plan, implement, and maintain business critical applications across environments to underpin seamless migration and operations.
- Lead system testing, UAT coordination, and release management to guarantee controlled, high-quality deployments.
- Advise project teams on application and data flow impacts, ensuring a structured and effective operational transition.
- Strengthen data integrity, reporting accuracy, and system usability, contributing to dashboards, analytics, and decision-support tools.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive user documentation, SOPs, training materials, and knowledge base content to support consistent system use.
- Oversee application configuration, security, user administration, and continuous improvement activities in alignment with organisational and project standards.
Essential Skills and Experience

- Extensive experience in the operation, support and administration of enterprise software systems, including the design and development of tailored business solutions via internal teams and external partners.
- Highly organised, with the capability to prioritise, coordinate and manage workload efficiently, consistently delivering high quality outputs within agreed timeframes.
- Solid understanding of relevant government legislation, policies and frameworks, and their practical implications for ICT operations, governance and service delivery.
