About The Company
Harrison McMillan is partnering with several respected organisations across the not-for-profit, healthcare, and community services sectors. These organisations are values-driven, operate in highly regulated environments, and are focused on delivering safe, high-quality services to the communities they support.
With sites across metropolitan and regional South Australia, they offer supportive leadership, collaborative cultures, and the opportunity to make a genuine impact.
Role Overview
We are seeking WHS & Risk professionals at varying levels to join multiple organisations in permanent roles. These positions offer a blend of strategic influence and hands-on delivery, supporting both leadership teams and frontline operations.
You will take ownership of your portfolio, partnering with stakeholders to strengthen safety culture, drive risk initiatives, and ensure compliance across multi-site environments. These roles suit individuals who are comfortable working autonomously while contributing to broader organisational objectives.
About You
You are a capable WHS professional who can operate both in the detail and at a higher level. Whether you’re stepping up into more ownership or already operating with autonomy, you bring a practical, solutions-focused approach.
You’re confident engaging with stakeholders, from frontline staff through to senior leaders, and can influence outcomes without relying on authority alone. You’re equally comfortable on-site as you are contributing to frameworks, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Conduct risk assessments and proactively identify hazards and improvement opportunities
- Support and implement WHS systems, policies, and procedures
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and relevant regulatory frameworks

- Contribute to reporting, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide practical, on-the-ground WHS support across multiple sites
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Experience in a WHS and/or Risk role (open to mid-level through to more experienced professionals)
- Background in highly regulated environments such as healthcare, aged care, NFP, or similar industries
- Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance requirements
- Ability to balance operational delivery with broader risk and safety initiatives
- Experience engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels
- Strong risk assessment and problem-solving capability
- Relevant WHS or related qualifications (desirable)
