This newly defined position blends leadership and hands-on delivery. You’ll lead a capable internal TA team, collaborate closely with People & Culture, and ensure a high-quality, values-aligned experience for both candidates and hiring managers.

Working across metro and regional SA, you’ll focus on building sustainable talent pipelines, strengthening Helping Hand’s employer brand, and embedding efficient, data-led recruitment practices.

This role is your chance to make a meaningful impact, shaping the workforce that enables Helping Hand to provide exceptional care, connection, and support to older South Australians. • Oversee end-to-end recruitment  for both high-volume and specialist roles, balancing quality, speed, and candidate experience.

  • Partner with leaders  across the organisation to understand workforce needs, forecast future demand, and tailor sourcing strategies accordingly.

  • Drive process improvement  by optimising recruitment systems, reporting, dashboards, and data insights to inform smarter hiring decisions.

  • Champion Helping Hand’s EVP and employer brand , ensuring every campaign and interaction reflects their values of compassion, respect, and excellence.

  • Lead strategic projects  that strengthen talent pipelines, reduce agency reliance, and improve workforce sustainability across metro and regional SA.

  • Embed inclusive, candidate-centred practices  to attract diverse talent and create a positive experience at every stage of the hiring journey.

About You

You’re a proactive and strategic talent leader who thrives on partnering with people to deliver meaningful outcomes. You bring credibility, sound judgement and a steady hand to a fast-paced environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.

You’re also a genuine people leader who inspires confidence, builds capability, and creates strong relationships across every level of an organisation.

You’ll bring:
  • Proven experience leading or managing a recruitment or broader people function within a complex or multi-site environment

  • Success working in high-volume settings with peaks and surges in demand

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills who is able to connect with everyone from executives to frontline team members

  • Sound judgement, problem-solving ability and commercial awareness

  • A collaborative mindset with a focus on innovation, inclusion and continuous improvement

  • Ideally, experience in aged care, health, or another service-based environment

Even if you don’t meet every single requirement, we’d still love to hear from you.
