Role Overview
As a Systems Accountant, you will provide hands-on support across all phases of the ERP implementation project. You’ll contribute to solution design, process mapping, and procedure development, assist in user acceptance testing and training, and provide system support through reporting and frontline helpdesk tasks. This role is well suited to someone who thrives in a project environment, enjoys working with detail, and is eager to build global expertise in Oracle systems.
About the Person
The successful candidate will be degree-qualified in Accounting, Commerce, or Business (or possess equivalent practical knowledge of accounting). You will have recent experience working with Oracle ERP (or another major ERP) and be comfortable getting into the detail of processes, reporting, and system support. You’re a problem solver with a positive attitude, adaptable to changing priorities, and known for your strong attention to detail and collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and implementation of ERP processes and solutions
- Develop process maps, procedures, and documentation to support system rollout
- Assist with user acceptance testing and provide user training where required
- Create and maintain reports to support business requirements
- Act as a frontline system helpdesk for ERP-related enquiries
- Provide input into solution design and continuous process improvements
- Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business, or equivalent experience
- Recent Oracle ERP experience highly regarded; other ERP experience also considered
- Demonstrated experience in project environments, with exposure to end-to-end project tasks
- Strong accounting knowledge and ability to apply it within a systems context
- Excellent problem-solving skills, adaptability, and initiative
- High attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
