Lead solar & BESS installs across commercial and residential projects, using advanced V2Grid tech.
Role Overview
The Lead Solar and BESS Installer will oversee the delivery of commercial and residential solar, battery, and EV projects end-to-end, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards. The role will be responsible for leading teams in implementing electrical and structural plans, mentoring apprentices and junior electricians, and will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients.
About the Person
The ideal candidate is a proactive and experienced installer who has commercial acumen, strong stakeholder relationship skills and the ability to manage projects from planning through to completion. They will take pride in delivering high quality work, have a passion for the solar industry and have career ambitions to step into a leadership or project management role with a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation teams on commercial and residential solar, battery, and EV charging projects
- Manage end-to-end project delivery, including installation, testing, and commissioning
- Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards and safety requirements
- Read, interpret, and implement electrical and structural plans with precision
- Support team performance by maintaining site safety, quality, and mentoring junior staff
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- A-Class Electrical License
- Current driver’s license, LVR/CPR, Working at Heights, and Police Check
- Proven experience leading installation teams
- Strong understanding of renewable and emerging energy systems
- CEC Accredited Solar PV Installer and/or Designer, and BESS accreditation (preferred)
