Role Overview
The Rostering Officer is responsible for coordinating and maintaining workforce rosters to ensure efficient service delivery across the organisation. Working closely with managers and frontline staff, the role supports scheduling, leave coordination, shift coverage and workforce planning while ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures and industrial requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain staff rosters to meet operational requirements
- Coordinate shift allocations, leave coverage and roster changes
- Liaise with employees, managers and stakeholders regarding rostering matters
- Monitor staffing levels to ensure appropriate workforce coverage
- Maintain accurate roster records and workforce data
- Assist with timesheet review and payroll-related roster queries
- Support continuous improvement of rostering processes and systems
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant industrial agreements
- Previous experience in rostering, scheduling or workforce coordination
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
- Experience using rostering, scheduling or workforce management systems
- Sound Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Understanding of awards, shift work environments or payroll processes is highly regarded
- Experience within healthcare, community services or not-for-profit sectors will be advantageous
