Role Overview
Reporting to the CRO, this role plays a key part in supporting the development, implementation and ongoing maturity of enterprise risk and compliance frameworks at HAMBS. You will work closely with leaders across the organisation to embed risk and compliance practices, provide specialist advice and support effective decision making through high quality reporting.
This is a broad, hands on role with exposure across risk, compliance, privacy, cyber risk and business continuity, along with involvement in preparation of executive and board reporting.
About the Person
You are an experienced risk and compliance professional with a strong understanding of enterprise frameworks and operating within regulated environments. You are confident engaging with stakeholders, able to influence outcomes and build trusted relationships across the business.
You bring a collaborative and pragmatic approach, with the ability to balance technical expertise with strong communication skills, ensuring risk and compliance practices are understood, embedded and supported across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and ongoing improvement of risk and compliance frameworks
- Partner with leaders to identify, assess and manage risks across the organisation
- Provide advice and guidance on compliance obligations and risk management practices
- Support reporting to executive, committees and board level forums
- Contribute to privacy, cyber risk and business continuity activities
- Assist with assurance, controls testing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience across risk and compliance within a regulated environment
- Strong understanding of enterprise risk frameworks and governance practices
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels
- Experience supporting reporting to senior leadership or governance forums
- Strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills
