Harrison McMillan is seeking a Procurement Officer (APS 6) to work with a Federal Government Department in Canberra.
Our client requires a Procurement Officer to provide specialist procurement advisory and operational support to the Department. In this role you will provide quality, accurate and timely procurement advice to stakeholders to ensure compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act.
Duties

Work with business areas to identify procurement needs, and encourage early engagement, alongside decision makers to ensure procurements are effective, promote proper use of resources, and deliver value for money

Create, update and maintain procurement records in TechOne and BuyICT

Create, update and maintain AusTender approaches to market, panel arrangements and reporting obligations

Build documentation for internal use that is simple, easy to maintain and consistent with better practices

Work with stakeholders to ensure that contracts are properly managed, reported internally and externally

Provide contract management and contract relationship support to the Department and suppliers

Implement, promote and apply the Departments Vision, Mission and Commitments as per the Department Strategy

Promote and apply the APS and Department values and contemporary people management principles and practices in diversity, workplace health and safety and participative management

Experience with TechOne, AusTender and BuyICT

Training in Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act compliance

Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Procurement and Contracting
This role is located in Canberra and requires a Baseline Clearance
