With a focus on quality service and strong internal support functions, they are seeking a Payroll Advisor to join their payroll team and contribute to the delivery of accurate, timely and compliant payroll services.
Role Overview
The Payroll Advisor is responsible for supporting the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across the organisation. This role will see you involved in payroll processing, salary packaging, reconciliations, payroll queries, system maintenance and reporting, while also contributing to payroll projects and process improvement initiatives. Working closely with Finance, People and Culture, Rostering and operational teams, you will play an important role in maintaining payroll accuracy, compliance and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Support fortnightly payroll processing ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Maintain employee data, pay rates and payroll system integrity
- Review leave, overtime and allowances prior to processing
- Manage payroll queries from staff, managers and external stakeholders
- Complete month end and year end payroll reconciliations
- Support salary packaging processes and provider coordination
- Assist with payroll reporting and data for management
- Contribute to system improvements and payroll related projects
- Demonstrated experience across end to end payroll
- High level of accuracy with strong problem solving ability
- Solid understanding of awards, EBAs and compliance requirements
- Confident handling payroll queries across a range of stakeholders
- Experience with payroll systems, CIM exposure beneficial
- Strong Excel capability and overall system confidence
- Able to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment
- Builds effective working relationships across teams
