Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Officer will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing across a large workforce. Working as part of a supportive team, you will ensure payroll services are delivered accurately, on time, and in compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.

- Process end-to-end payroll for a large workforce on a fortnightly and monthly basis
- Maintain accurate payroll records, including new starters, terminations, and adjustments
- Reconcile timesheets, leave, and payroll data to ensure accuracy
- Respond to payroll enquiries and provide timely, customer-focused support
- Assist with payroll reporting, month-end, and year-end processes
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and organisational policies
- Support payroll audits and system reconciliations
- Contribute to continuous improvement of payroll systems and processes
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to achieve team outcomes
- Experience working with payroll systems (e.g. Chris21 or similar)
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, including superannuation, payroll tax, and FBT
- Solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- High level communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a customer service-focused environment
- Ability to interpret awards, enterprise agreements, and payroll policies (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
