Role Overview
While core responsibilities centre on equipment reliability, fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance, you will have the opportunity to contribute to broader improvements across safety, systems, and operational performance.  You will bring a mindset geared toward continuous improvement, innovation and collaboration in complex manufacturing environments. Fault-finding ability across a variety of automated packaging and processing plant, combined with a desire to learn and grow is essential for this role

About the Person
You will be a trade qualified Mechanical Fitter who is eager to grow your career in a fast-paced FMCG or manufacturing environment. You will have a good foundation in fault-finding and mechanical maintenance and looking to further develop your skills working with automated equipment and modern production systems.

Bringing a proactive approach, a focus on safety, and a willingness to learn from others you are comfortable working independently and confident working as part of a team. You will be a positive communicator with colleagues across engineering, production, and maintenance functions. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver preventive and breakdown maintenance across a range of automated packaging and processing equipment
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical faults on automated systems
  • Support and lead line changeovers and packaging equipment setups to minimise downtime
  • Scope, plan, and execute maintenance activities, including shutdown support and project work
  • Accurately record maintenance activities, parts, and labour in CMMS (JDE) while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
  • The role does require participation on a shiftwork roster.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (mandatory)
  • Fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Hands-on experience with preventive and breakdown maintenance
  • Desirable: Confined Space, EWP, Forklift, Working at Heights, Dogging tickets, with an understanding of WHS and safe work practices
