Land and Property Officer

Support land and property transactions within a local government environment, coordinating leasing, stakeholder engagement, and property processes.

Role Overview
The Land and Property Officer will coordinate land authorisations and property transactions in line with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Based in the northern suburbs, this full-time temporary assignment is available immediately through to approximately May 2026.

You will work across a variety of property matters, liaising with landowners, consultants, and internal stakeholders while ensuring accurate record keeping and compliance with public consultation processes.

About the Person
You are an organised and proactive property professional with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. You bring sound knowledge of property management and leasing processes, and ideally have experience working within a local government environment. You are confident researching matters, providing recommendations, and supporting compliant decision-making.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate land authorisations and property transactions.
  • Liaise and negotiate with landowners, property stakeholders, and specialist consultants.
  • Research property matters and provide informed recommendations.
  • Prepare and manage correspondence for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support and coordinate public consultation processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
  • Engage with stakeholders to support effective property outcomes.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Experience in property management or leasing.
  • Local government experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written communication and administrative abilities.
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to interpret policies and legislation.
  • Capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
