Role Overview
The purpose of this role is to provide operational and technical support to the Lager Cellar processes, in a safe, hygienic, and efficient manner. The role is primarily responsible for brew receival, yeast preparation and management, fermentation, lager maturation, beer transfer and filtration, and ale & stout processing.  This is a specialised operational role requiring individuals who can perform effectively within a fast-paced process manufacturing environment.
About the Person
The ideal candidate will bring experience within a process-driven manufacturing or production environment, ideally within FMCG, brewing, food and beverage, chemical processing or similar industrial operations. Exposure to PCS7 and SCADA systems, process control environments and automated production operations will be highly regarded.
Beyond technical capability, successful candidates will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple operational processes simultaneously and a calm, team-oriented approach. Candidates must be adaptable, reliable and committed to working a rotating shift roster, including night shift and overtime requirements, to support the continuous operation of the brewery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate all aspects of the Lager Cellar, including brew receival, yeast management, fermentation, lager and ale & stout processing, filtration, centrifugation, and CIP operations.
  • Operate the keg line, including beer delivery, line operation, and occasionally management of empty and full keg pallets.
  • Conduct quality control analysis, including apparent extract measurement and yeast counts.
  • Maintain accurate fermentation, brew tracking, filtration, keg line, and CIP records.
  • Report process faults, equipment failures and improvement opportunities.
  • Raw material goods receival including truck unloading, storage, and data entry.
  • Conduct weekly stocktakes and associated data entry.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of equipment and Lager Cellar environment.
  • Undertake general housekeeping activities to maintain Coopers standards.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience (desirable)
  • Experience in manufacturing, preferably within FMCG or a similar industry.
  • Experience operating brewing or production equipment.
  • Familiarity with PSC7 or SCADA systems.
  • Experience working a rotating shift roster including night shift.
  • High Risk Work Licence (LF).
  • CIBD General Certificate or Foundations in Brewing.
