Role Overview
The IT Asset Management Analyst will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining hardware and software asset management practices across their full lifecycle. This includes managing end user hardware orders, supporting software licence administration, and maintaining accurate asset data to ensure compliance and efficiency. The role will also collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to optimise asset processes, strengthen governance, and drive continuous improvement in asset management operations.

They will have strong analytical and communication skills, a solid understanding of licensing and compliance, and the ability to collaborate effectively with vendors and technical teams. Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate and maintain hardware and software asset management practices throughout the asset lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
· Process and manage end user device hardware orders, including computers, phones, and printers, and assist with software licence management activities.
· Maintain and update asset records within ITAM and CMDB systems to support reporting, auditing, and governance requirements.
· Collaborate with vendors, procurement, finance, and IT teams to optimise asset procurement, utilisation, and disposal processes.
· Identify opportunities to improve asset management processes, enhance data integrity, and strengthen IT governance and efficiency.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
· Experience in higher education or large, complex organisations.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT Service Management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
· Formal IT, Business, or related qualifications; ITIL Foundation or ITAM certification preferred.
· Knowledge of IT asset management standards, compliance, and lifecycle processes.
· Strong understanding of procurement, vendor management, and cybersecurity requirements.
