This opportunity is with a local Council organisation, supporting a large and diverse workforce of approximately 500 staff across 14 sites. The environment is dynamic, with a broad and complex IT landscape that includes over 90 applications, requiring adaptable and proactive IT support professionals.

Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on ICT Help Desk Support professional who is confident across both Level 1 and Level 2 troubleshooting. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can quickly integrate into an established team.
In addition to day-to-day support, you will play a key role in upcoming technology projects, including a mobile device rollout and a laptop deployment scheduled for the next financial year. This is a great opportunity to contribute to impactful IT initiatives while supporting a wide user base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support across a broad user base
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Deliver remote support across multiple sites
  • Support and maintain a large application environment (90+ applications)
  • Assist with device provisioning, laptop imaging, and deployment activities
  • Support Mobile Device Management (MDM) environments
  • Provide end-user support during rollout projects (mobile devices and laptops)
  • Participate in an on-call roster
  • Provide occasional after-hours support for IT/AV during Council meetings

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Proven experience in Level 1 and Level 2 IT support roles
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across diverse environments
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience supporting multi-site organisations (remote support)
  • Familiarity with device provisioning, MDM, and laptop imaging
  • Ability to manage a high-volume support workload
  • Flexible and reliable, with availability for on-call and occasional after-hours work
  • Ability to quickly adapt and “hit the ground running
