As our valued Hospitality Assistant at Kalyra McLaren Vale Residential Aged Care, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional care and support to our residents in a residential aged care home.
With care and compassion, you will:
Working in cleaning and laundry - This will see you assisting residents with ensuring their rooms are clean and tidy and working with the broader team to ensure the cleanliness of common areas. Working in kitchen operations – This will see you support the Chef in achieving smooth operation of a busy kitchen environment through dish washing, plating of meals, food preparation and helping serve meals.We recognise individual strengths and tailor assignments accordingly, allowing some to excel in a variety of areas while others may concentrate on specific tasks.
We will consider candidates on a casual basis.
We have a variety of shifts available across kitchen, cleaning, and laundry services. Kitchen shifts are offered during the day and afternoon, while cleaning and laundry shifts are available during the day. Weekend availability is highly valued.
Shift times include:

7:00 am – 3:00 pm
-
8:30 am – 2:00 pm
-
10:00 am – 1:30 pm
-
4:00 pm – 7:30 pm
You are a compassionate, empathetic, and resilient individual who values and prioritises the dignity and well-being of older people. This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong communication, the ability to remain composed under pressure, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Apart from this we ask that you have the following:

Previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded

National Police Check or willingness to obtain one

NDIS clearance or willingness to obtain one

Driver License

3 x COVID-19 vaccinations and annual influenza vaccination
Ideally, you will also have:

Availability to work three days a week or more

Ability to comply with safe work practices and food-safe handling practices

Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English
