We are seeking Home and Garden Maintenance Workers (Gardeners) to support clients across Adelaide’s northern, eastern and western suburbs.
These roles offer both permanent part-time and casual opportunities, with work available between 9:00am and 5:00pm on weekdays. You will be responsible for maintaining outdoor areas to ensure they are safe, tidy, and accessible for clients living at home.
You will work independently across multiple sites, supported by structured onboarding, buddy shifts, and clear systems to help you succeed in the role.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lawn mowing and edging using a mower and whipper snipper
- Basic garden maintenance including pruning, trimming, and hedge cutting
- Weed control and general yard clean-up
- Identifying and addressing garden safety risks
- Following client-specific instructions via mobile app or worksheet
- Communicating with clients regarding garden preferences and upkeep
You enjoy hands-on, physical work and take pride in maintaining outdoor spaces. You’re reliable, practical, and comfortable working independently across different environments.
You don’t need formal gardening experience, but you must be confident using a lawn mower and whipper snipper, and able to follow written instructions in English.
This role suits individuals with practical skills, whether gained through previous work or maintaining their own home and garden.
You will also have:
- Experience using basic gardening tools and equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Strong awareness of safety when using tools and equipment
- Physical capability to undertake manual outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Availability for a minimum of 15 hours per week
- Current Driver’s Licence and access to a suitable reliable vehicle (ute, van or trailer preferred)
- Ability to transport equipment, fuel, and gardening materials
- Willingness to complete a National Police Check and Working With Children Check
- Willingness to complete a functional (physical) assessment
- Availability to work weekday hours (9:00am – 5:00pm)
- Permanent part-time: $32.86 per hour
- Casual: $41.08 per hour
- Paid travel time between clients (above award)
- Mileage reimbursement between clients
- Paid travel home plus 15-minute daily tool pack-down allowance
- Consistent clients and regular work schedules
- Structured onboarding, buddy support, and ongoing training
