Role Overview

An opportunity exists for an experienced Grants and Administration Officer to join an organisation on a full-time temporary assignment. Based in the Adelaide CBD, this role offers the chance to contribute to programs that make a meaningful impact within the community.
Working as part of a professional and collaborative team, you will provide high-quality administrative support across a range of business functions, with a particular focus on grants administration. This assignment is anticipated to commence within the next 3 to 4 weeks and may offer the potential for extension.

About the Person

You are an experienced administration professional with strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail. You pride yourself on delivering high-quality work, managing competing priorities, and building positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
You are confident working within structured environments, enjoy learning new systems and processes, and can quickly adapt to changing business needs. Previous experience within government or community-focused organisations will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality administrative support across a range of operational activities.
  • Coordinate and administer grants programs and related processes.
  • Manage applications and reporting requirements through SmartyGrants.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update records, documentation, and correspondence.
  • Support financial administration, procurement, and business operations.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate timely outcomes.
  • Contribute to reporting, process improvement, and general business support activities.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in a high-volume administration or business support role.
  • Essential experience using SmartyGrants.
  • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Previous government experience will be highly regarded.
  • Experience with systems such as Objective, Basware, EMS, and ANZ Corporate Card platforms will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of, or exposure to, veteran, defence, emergency services, or community sectors will be highly regarded.
