Launch your cyber security career supporting a nationally significant data program, gaining hands-on experience across security operations, cloud security and risk.

Term:

Fixed term contract until 31 December 2027

About the Organisation:

This organisation plays a key role in supporting the collection, management and use of critical national data that informs policy, planning and decision-making across Australia. Working within a collaborative and technology-driven environment, the team is delivering a significant data transformation program focused on secure, trusted and high-quality information management.

As a Graduate Cyber Security Analyst, you will contribute to security monitoring, vulnerability management, governance activities, compliance processes and cloud security initiatives. You'll gain exposure to modern Microsoft Azure environments, security assurance activities and industry best practices while developing a strong foundation in cyber security operations.

Working closely with developers, architects, analysts and technology teams, you will play a hands-on role in supporting secure solution delivery while building the technical and professional skills required for a successful cyber security career.

Essential Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns, risks and anomalies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity and commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Passion for cyber security and a desire to build a long-term career within the profession.
