Role Overview
The Government Relations Advisor will author Ministerial briefs and correspondence, identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in documents, build and sustain effective relationships within the business, the Minister’s Office, and other stakeholders, and operate at pace while managing competing priorities with precision and integrity. Success in the role comes from balancing strategic thinking with practical delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage stakeholder relationships and provide strategic advice
- Prepare accurate and timely briefings, correspondence, and reports
- Support governance processes and drive improvements in policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, and organisational requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in police, communications, or similar area and/or extensive experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of the processes of Government, Cabinet, and the Parliament
