Role Overview
As the Executive Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting executives and senior leadership through high-level coordination, reporting, governance, and operational oversight.
You will manage key executive functions including briefing preparation, project tracking, committee support, stakeholder engagement, correspondence, and ensuring alignment between strategic priorities and day-to-day operations.
This role is ideal for a proactive and highly organised professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys supporting strategic decision-making across a large and diverse organisation.

About the Person
You are an experienced executive support or governance professional who excels at managing competing priorities and maintaining strong attention to detail.
You have exceptional communication skills, the ability to build trusted relationships, and a natural talent for anticipating needs before they arise.
Your strong judgement, discretion, and ability to work in a fast-paced, confidential setting make you a reliable partner to senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative and executive support to senior leaders, including briefings, correspondence, reports, and presentation materials.
  • Coordinate governance processes, including committee meetings, agenda preparation, minute-taking, and action tracking.
  • Manage workflow, priorities, and communication on behalf of executives to ensure timely and accurate information flow.
  • Support strategic initiatives and organisational projects by preparing documentation, conducting research, and monitoring progress.
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth operational and project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with government processes, policies, and reporting requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and coordination within the executive office.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Proven experience providing executive-level or senior administrative support within government, corporate, or complex organisations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare professional briefings, reports, and governance documentation.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of discretion, confidentiality, and professional judgement.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and modern document/records management systems.
  • Experience supporting governance processes or committees (highly desirable).
  • Understanding of government procedures, reporting, and approvals (desirable).
