A fantastic short-term opportunity for an experienced Events Coordinator to lead the delivery of a high-profile stakeholder event.

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Events Coordinator to commence ASAP through to 26 June 2026. Working at an ASO7/ASO8 equivalent level, you will take ownership of the end-to-end coordination and delivery of a large-scale stakeholder event. This role requires strong planning, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management capabilities to ensure a successful event outcome.


About the Person
You are a proactive and highly organised events professional with a proven ability to manage complex projects. You are confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, facilitating planning sessions, and coordinating multiple moving parts to deliver seamless events.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end planning, coordination, and delivery of a major stakeholder event
  • Facilitate internal planning workshops and coordinate event timelines
  • Engage and manage internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee external vendors to ensure deliverables are met on time and to standard
  • Monitor event progress and proactively address risks or issues
  • Ensure all event logistics and operations run smoothly
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Demonstrated experience delivering events from concept to completion
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience facilitating workshops and coordinating planning activities
  • Proven ability to manage and oversee external vendors and suppliers
  • Previous experience within a government or similar environment highly regarded
  • Current Working With Children’s Check (mandatory)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
