Events Coordinator and Administrator

Community Fundraising & Events Coordinator

Make a real difference in the lives of children and families facing cancer.

The Childhood Cancer Association is seeking a warm, well-organised and energetic Events Coordinator to help grow the community-led fundraising program, support the delivery of key events, and provide administrative support across the organisation.

Working alongside another Coordinator and the wider Fundraising & Marketing team, you’ll be the go-to contact for individuals, schools, clubs, businesses and community groups who want to support CCA. You’ll guide them through their fundraising ideas, help bring their events to life, and ensure they have an outstanding experience along the way.

You’ll also play an important role in supporting the Family Service team with admin and stock management to ensure the smooth delivery of practical services to children with cancer and their families.

The Role
  • Be the first point of contact for community fundraisers – guiding them from idea to event day.
  • Attend community events as a CCA representative.
  • Support CCA-led events with logistics, suppliers, volunteers and on-the-day coordination.
  • Prepare certificates, thank-yous and supporter communications.
  • Help build new fundraising initiatives and strengthen supporter relationships.
  • Provide administrative support and stock management for the Family Service team

The Person
  • Experience in fundraising and/or events (NFP experience a bonus).
  • Strong admin skills, attention to detail and solid MS Office ability.
  • CRM experience (Raiser’s Edge a plus).
  • Clear communication, great people skills and a positive, hands-on attitude.
  • Ability to juggle competing deadlines with ease.
  • Team player with a flexible, proactive approach.
  • Passion for working in the not-for-profit space.

The Essentials
  • SA driver’s licence and vehicle.
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
  • Comfortable with physical tasks at events.
  • Some out of hours / weekend work is required

The Childhood Cancer Association is a Child Safe Environment. Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Working with Children Check. All staff recruited to work for the Association are required to work within our code of conduct and undergo relevant pre-employment checks.
