An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Contract Manager to join a high-performing team supporting commercial investment decisions. This role is ideal for professionals with strong financial analysis and commercial contract management experience who are looking to make a meaningful impact.

Role Overview
This is a commercially focused role responsible for assessing business performance, analysing financial information, and managing commercial contracts. You will provide high-quality advice and recommendations to support investment decisions while ensuring contracts are effectively negotiated, administered, and managed. This is  not  a procurement role.
About the Person
You are commercially minded with experience in banking, commercial lending, corporate finance, insolvency, or a similar financial environment. You are confident reviewing financial statements, assessing business performance, and managing commercial contracts. You possess excellent written communication skills and enjoy producing clear, well-supported reports and recommendations. Previous government experience is advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyse financial statements and business performance.
  • Assess commercial and financial risks to support investment decisions.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts.
  • Prepare financial reviews, briefing papers, recommendations, and meeting minutes.
  • Provide commercial advice to support strategic decision-making.
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure contractual obligations are appropriately managed and documented.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Experience in banking, commercial lending, corporate finance, insolvency, or a related field.
  • Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to assess business performance.
  • Experience drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts.
  • Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Government experience is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce, accounting, business, law, or a related discipline are desirable.
