Content Developer

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Content Developer to play a key role in a large-scale finance transformation program. This position will focus on creating engaging training and change artefacts to support the implementation of a new enterprise financial management system (Oracle) across a complex stakeholder environment.

About The Company
Our client is delivering a major finance reform initiative to replace a long-standing legacy financial management system with a contemporary Oracle platform. This transformation will modernise financial processes and fundamentally reshape how finance activities are delivered across multiple government agencies and stakeholder groups.

The program represents a significant investment in systems, people, and best-practice processes, with wide-reaching impact across finance, ICT, and operational teams.

Role Overview
The Content Developer plays a critical role within the program’s training and change stream, supporting the design and delivery of high-quality learning and engagement materials.

Working closely with the training team, subject matter experts, and broader program stakeholders, you will design and develop a wide range of artefacts that support stakeholder engagement, change management, early adoption, and end-user learning.
This role requires strong writing capability, creativity, and the ability to translate complex financial and technical subject matter into clear, practical, and engaging content.

About the Person
You are a skilled communicator who knows how to turn complex information into clear, structured, and engaging content. You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced program environment where priorities can shift, and you remain focused on delivering high-quality outputs.

You bring strong attention to detail, a creative mindset, and confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels. You can work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and program teams.
You thrive in transformation environments and understand the importance of consistency, compliance, and alignment to governance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and document engaging learning and change content across multiple mediums
  • Develop artefacts including documentation, presentations, online materials, videos, infographics, and other digital content
  • Produce materials to support stakeholder engagement, change management initiatives, early adoption, and end-user training
  • Work collaboratively with the broader program team to support all aspects of content development
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including subject matter experts and agency representatives, to determine content structure and requirements
  • Contribute to the achievement of program objectives through the application of specialist content development and writing expertise
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of business activities in line with legislative and policy requirements
  • Support the promotion and implementation of Public Sector principles and practices, including Equal Opportunity and Work Health and Safety

  • Superior attention to detail and ability to ensure artefacts align with program standards
  • Experience developing creative digital content, including videos and learning materials
  • Proven ability to translate complex subject matter into clear, accessible content for diverse stakeholders
  • Strong ability to manage workload and priorities autonomously
  • Flexibility to adjust focus in line with program needs while maintaining output quality
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
  • Demonstrated experience applying relevant legislation, policies, and procedures including Code of Ethics, EEO, and cultural inclusion principles
  • Understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act 2012
  • Understanding of and ability to work in line with AS ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management – Guidelines
