Role Overview
PIRSA is seeking an experienced ICT Architecture Lead to provide strategic leadership across enterprise architecture, technology direction and digital investment. Operating within the ICT function, this role plays a critical part in shaping PIRSA’s technology landscape, guiding future-focused architecture, and aligning digital capabilities with business outcomes.
You will lead the development of ICT architecture frameworks and standards, establish and drive technology roadmaps, and provide high-level advice to ICT leadership, executive stakeholders and governance forums. Acting as the custodian of PIRSA’s technology architecture, you will ensure solutions are aligned, scalable and secure while supporting business transformation initiatives across the organisation.
The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, working closely with senior leaders across PIRSA and the broader public sector to identify opportunities, influence decision-making and embed consistent architecture practices. You will also oversee architecture governance, including chairing the Architecture Board, and lead solution architects through the design and delivery lifecycle.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in ICT architecture leadership across complex enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, principles and standards
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement technology roadmaps aligned to business strategy
- Experience providing strategic advice to senior stakeholders, including executive leadership
- Strong understanding of contemporary ICT domains including infrastructure, applications, data, security and governance
- Experience leading architecture governance, standards and review processes
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Ability to assess emerging technologies and translate insights into practical recommendations
- Experience contributing to business cases and investment decisions from an architecture perspective
- Strong leadership capability, including oversight of architecture or solution design resources

Remuneration
ASO8 - $125,649 – 130,392 per annum, plus superannuation
