ASO8 Cloud Architect

We are currently seeking applications for a Cloud Architect, to join the Office of the Chief Information Officer at the Department of Treasury and Finance on an ongoing basis.
 

Remuneration:   ASO8 – Salary Range ($121,107 - $125,679 p.a.).
 

About the opportunity:

The Cloud Architect will support the architectural design, operation and governance of digital government services that benefit the South Australian community. They will do this by combining a very high level of discipline knowledge and experience with an understanding of the policy landscape and creative thinking to achieve the goals and priorities of OCIO, dependent agencies and SA Government as a whole. The Cloud Architect will collaborate with OCIO technical staff and senior leadership, agency technical staff and suppliers to develop policies and processes, to articulate and enforce IT Architecture patterns, standards and guidelines, and to support the secure, effective and cost-efficient use of SA Government IT resources.


About you

To be successful you will:

  • Support the development of IT Architecture policies, processes, standards, patterns and guidelines for all agencies on the State Network.
  • Execute architectural design, options analysis and other technical specialist work as required for OCIO’s strategic and operational responsibilities.
  • Provide direct consultation and decision support to senior leadership and OCIO technical experts as required for short- and long-term decision making.
  • Lead technical and governance forums with agencies/stakeholders to ensure policies and strategies are aligned to agency requirements, agency designs and plans are aligned to policies, strategies and technical requirements, and that these policies, strategies, plans and technical requirements are documented and communicated to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with OCIO operations, architecture and cyber security specialists as required for projects and initiatives.
  • Prioritise requests from operations, project management and external agency teams fairly while demonstrating a sense of empathy.
  • Manage teams to design/develop an architectural, strategic or governance/policy outcome.
