Support SAPOL’s digital environment by delivering and optimising M365 business apps, providing expert analysis, and driving continuous improvement.

· Drive optimisation of M365 and Power Platform to enhance business outcomes.

About the Company

The Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) Service supports the frontline policing and corporate operations of SAPOL through the provision of ICT infrastructure and communication platforms, operational software applications, and support services. The Service is responsible for driving the ongoing evolution of ICT capability across SAPOL, through the delivery of high-quality ICT change programs. The Service is structured across four core pillars: Strategy, Innovation and Engagement; Program Delivery; Operational Services; and Security and Assurance. The Service extends from traditional ICT services to encompass a specialist radio and technology capability, including laser and radar calibration services.

 

The Application Services Branch provides proactive support to ensure the availability and quality of applications used throughout SAPOL. The Branch manages and maintains SAPOL data and enables its transformation into useful information for business purposes. Application Services staff work closely with application and data business owners and users to optimise the use and functionality of applications and reporting to meet business outcomes. The Branch manages software throughout its life and contributes to projects by providing expertise and advice and works collaboratively with project managers to ensure projects successfully transition to a supported life cycle mode.
 

Role Overview

2-year fixed term contract

The M365 Business Apps Administrator plays a key role in maintaining the reliability, performance and continuous improvement of SAPOL’s Microsoft 365 environment, with a particular emphasis on business applications such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages and Dynamics 365. This position delivers high-level technical and systems analysis, providing expert advice to project teams and end users to support the effective introduction of new Microsoft 365 capabilities into the operational support landscape. The role also leads the resolution of complex technical issues, offering guidance to colleagues and contributing to a collaborative, high-functioning support team.

 

Essential Requirements

· Proven experience designing, managing and optimising solutions across Microsoft 365, Power Platform and Dynamics 365.

· Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms, including configuration, infrastructure knowledge and service optimisation.

· Solid understanding of project, change and configuration management, SDLC principles and ITIL-aligned service management.

· Skilled in business process re-engineering within Microsoft cloud environments, with knowledge of applicable Government policies and agency procedures.

· Demonstrated ability to research, analyse and resolve complex technical issues using appropriate methodologies, standards and documentation.

· Able to work independently or collaboratively under broad direction, applying sound judgement to deliver effective solutions.

· Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate, liaise and clearly explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

 

Special Conditions

· The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.

· The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.

· Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.

· The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL’s iEngage program.

 

Salary ASO6 - $98,478 - $104,165 per annum.
