ASO6 – Business Change Analyst

Lead change management to support IS&T projects, enabling SAPOL teams to adopt new systems and technologies successfully.

About the Company
The Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) Service supports the frontline policing and corporate operations of SAPOL through the provision of ICT infrastructure and communication platforms, operational software applications, and support services. The Service is responsible for driving the ongoing evolution of ICT capability across SAPOL, through the delivery of high-quality ICT change programs. The Service is structured across four core pillars: Strategy, Innovation and Engagement; Program Delivery; Operational Services; and Security and Assurance. The Service extends from traditional ICT services to encompass a specialist radio and technology capability, including laser and radar calibration services.

Role Overview
As the Business Change Analyst you will be responsible for coordinating a complex range of change management activities to support the successful delivery of IS&T projects and initiatives. You will work closely with individuals and teams across SAPOL to prepare for and adapt to changes arising from the implementation of new or enhanced systems and technologies, while collaborating with IS&T staff to ensure effective project delivery. Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, the Business Change Analyst liaises with business managers, technical teams, and key user representatives, and works across IS&T branches and projects to ensure solutions are implemented smoothly and successfully adopted by the business.

Essential Requirements
  • Coordinate and deliver change management planning activities for IS&T projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  • Engage stakeholders to identify and assess business impacts, using insights to inform effective change strategies.
  • Identify and implement change activities to support business areas in transitioning to new or enhanced systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with the Portfolio Management Office and project managers to integrate and align change activities across initiatives.
  • Drive business engagement across SAPOL to build awareness, readiness, and commitment to change.
  • Monitor and support the delivery of change initiatives, providing expert advice on organisational readiness, training, communication, and workforce impacts.
  • Support leaders and stakeholders through coaching, facilitation, reporting, and maintenance of change artefacts to ensure successful adoption.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, risk management, and change maturity through post-implementation reviews, mentoring, and promoting best practice across IS&T.

Special Conditions
  • The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
  • The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
  • Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.
  • The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL’s iEngage program.
     
Salary:
 ASO6 - $109,184 - $115,489 p.a.
