A long-established mining operator is embarking on a major site upgrade in regional Tasmania. The business is scaling its Owner’s Team to manage multiple workstreams across study and execution phases. Culture is delivery-focused, collaborative, and safety-led.
Role Overview
We’re searching for a capable Project Manager (or senior Area Manager) with civil or bulk earthworks experience to lead the studies and delivery of a tailings storage facility and non-process infrastructure (NPI), including access roads, power transmission, and camp upgrades. You’ll work client-side with a multidisciplinary team, taking responsibility for design, approvals, contractor performance, and execution readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage FEED/DFS and execution for TSF and NPI scopes
- Own project planning, risk, HAZOPs, cost/schedule, and execution readiness
- Develop and manage contract strategy and evaluation process
- Oversee EPCM and subcontractor performance during construction
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Deliver reporting to JV partners and assist in stakeholder engagement
