The SA Housing Authority has embarked on a significant transformation in alignment with the strategic plan and exciting commitments made by our state government. This is a period of major reform and refocus as the Authority scales to deliver on its major capital programs and the State Government’s commitment to the delivery of 20,000 affordable homes.
The newly created position of Senior Manager, Investment and Portfolio Planning now exists within the Investment and Portfolio Planning division. This division will visualise portfolio plans for the Authority’s $11B asset base to achieve the optimal outcomes for our clients’ needs and the provision of a State-wide Affordable housing target of 20,000 homes. This division will drive the Authority in planning, investing and partnering to deliver on social housing outcomes and 1000 affordable houses. Leveraging the private and community sector investment to deliver on the overall 20,000 affordable homes strategy will be a key achievement of this division.
Reporting directly through to the Executive Director, Portfolio Planning and Asset Management, the Senior Manager Investment and Portfolio Planning has the responsibility to ensure the Authority’s asset retention, renewal, divestment, acquisitions and partnerships programs meet the housing demands of the Authority’s Strategic Asset Management Plan and determine the appropriate framework in line with the Authority’s requirements. The role works collaboratively and cross functionally with other Senior Managers and Executive Directors in the Portfolio Planning and Asset Management Directorate. The Senior Manager Investment and Portfolio Planning collaborates extensively with Strategy and Governance directorate to meet the objectives of SA Housing Authority.
This important position will lead and manage stakeholder relationships and engagement activity in both public and private sector groups. The position will have oversight of the decision making process for all development projects and work with industry to support the overall value and sustainability of the sector. As the successful candidate you will have an exceptional track record in providing high level strategic advice on development and redevelopment opportunities and also the associated risks and governance factors that need to be consented. You will have strong commercial leadership with an unsurpassed level of land economics, portfolio planning and project/program execution and delivery expertise. You will demonstrate your experience in leading strong technical teams through a whole project lifecycle and hold a high regard for factual and accurate reporting using a variety of data sources.
