The SA Housing Authority has embarked on a significant transformation in alignment with the strategic plan and exciting commitments made by our state government.  This is a period of major reform and refocus as the Authority scales to deliver on its major capital programs and the State Government’s commitment to the delivery of 20,000 affordable homes.

The opportunity for a Senior Development Manager now exists within the Investment and Portfolio Planning division.  This division will visualise portfolio plans for the Authority’s $11B asset base to achieve the optimal outcomes for our clients’ needs and the provision of a State-wide Affordable housing target of 20,000 homes.  This division will drive the Authority in planning, investing and partnering to deliver on social housing outcomes and 1000 affordable houses.  Leveraging the private and community sector investment to deliver on the overall 20,000 affordable homes strategy will be a key achievement of this division.

The Senior Development Manager will be responsible for using internal and external data sources to identify and propose strategy direction and portfolio plans for the both current and future housing needs.   This position will report through to the Senior Manager, Investment and Portfolio Planning and will require a high level of research and analysis of all property market performance to then inform and guide the portfolio planning and land development strategies.

The Senior Development Manager will work closely with industry and other stakeholder groups in order to achieve the execution of the capital works program and produce sound portfolio plans and development strategies supported by market data.

You will have strong commercial leadership with an unsurpassed level of land economics, portfolio planning or project/program execution and delivery expertise. You will be a credible development manager with significant program experience and demonstrated skills in deep research and analysis. Your ability to produce timely and accurate reporting will be crucial coupled with your appreciation and values alignment for the governance frameworks of the public sector
